Renewable Energy Environmental Engineer Expert
The UKA Group has around 880 employees and is currently active in Europe as well as in North and South America. Founded and managed by its owners since 1999, the company is one of the top three German project developers and currently has an onshore wind project pipeline of about 1.8 GW in the permitting process in Germany. UKA has also grown strongly internationally in recent years. The UKA Group's current project pipeline now exceeds 14 GW globally.
The Role:
l Perform environmental feasibility assessment of onshore wind farms and solar PV plants.
l Perform environmental analysis of wind and solar PV projects and associated electrical infrastructures:
- Biodiversity (fauna & flora).
- Chiroptera studies.
- Archeological and heritage (beni culturali) assessment and studies.
- Municipal and regional land use plans assessment.
- Waste management.
- Environmental reports during construction and operation.
l Elaborate all Environmental Impact Screening and Assessment (VIA/PUA) documentation provided in the frame of the
Environmental Impact Assessment, either Regional and/or National.
l Analyze and elaborate all documentation for land compatibility, reforestation, agrivoltaic and get the Administration approval.
l Submit and agree on environmental compensation measures with the relevant Administrative bodies.
l Track record obtaining Environmental Impact Approval for wind farms and PV plants.
l Liaise with external consultants supporting the environmental approval process and technical due diligences.
The Individual:
l MSc in Agriculture (Agronomi), or Forestry (Forestali) Engineer MSc.
l At least five years professional experience in wind farms and PV plants Environmental Approval process.
l Experience in preparation of documentation for Environmental Impact Assessment approval for wind farms and PV plants.
l Advanced knowledge of MS Office, QGIS, ArcGis and National/Regional databases.
l Team work.
l Independent way of working, commitment, creativity, accuracy.
l Willingness to travel.
l Languages: Italian and English (B2).
